Snow!!

It is that time of year where we in the great Texas panhandle have been blessed with frozen moisture. This is the second time I have ever had some games in the snow. I have to say that I freaking love it!! the stillness of the earth around you, the virginity of the ground seemingly untouched by anything just gives a whole new perspective to the game. I made a mistake however. I have a couple of my favorite discs that I use all the time. One is an Ezra Nuke with a bottom stamp, another is a Supreme Fugitive as well as a Grand Slam Explorer. These discs all have something in common. They are a light blue color,…

More power to the player

As it was spoken a few days ago, it has happened. I have officially ben back on the preverbal horse. I had spent a lot of time away from playing disc golf. Yesterday I went out for 27 baskets. We had a fantastic time. One thing I was really impressed about, was how great I was on my short game. It was almost like I wasn’t thinking about it. Every shot was pretty much muscle memory. I had one of the best first halves of my life. It just goes to show you that I was correct, and that you just need to get back on that f***ing horse!!

Getting back on the horse

Hello, its been quite a while. I have taken a long break from playing as well as working on the website or honestly anything disc golf related. This break was mostly unintentional however I have used the time somewhat wisely. I haven’t played in WEEKS maybe more than a month. I know, its not a good thing at all. Disc golf is soo important to my mental well being. When getting back into something (even something you might really like), it can be kind of difficult sometimes. It’s not that you don’t want to do it, you just have created a new life style that you may now be comfortable with and we don’t like change! Or do we? Change…

How far can you throw?

We are going to talk about why we seem to limit out on our distance shots. How many times have you pictured the perfect line, just to not have the power to get the disc where you need it to fly? I know that I am guilty of this. When I first started there were what seemed to be increments of potential, where I could hit a consistent 100 ft then 200 ft then 300 ft. After hitting the 300 ft mark and getting there consistently, it was like hitting a wall. I just for the life of me couldn’t get past 300 ft. I would start to throw harder and harder until I was throwing my arm out of…
